Also known as the “Victory Nickel”, these coins were minted between 1943 and 1945 and still easly found today. Since nickel was extesively used in the war effort, they were either made of steel or tombac. But more interestingly, have you ever noticed the “bumps” on the inside of the rim? Well, it’s actually morse code which translates to “We Win When We Work Willingly”
